The Wine Estate
The Company Tenuta Arabona, founded in 2006, is the prosecution of the farm that my parents, Pasquale and Dina, passionate winemakers, have created in the late 60’s. After completing my studies in farming, I have completely dedicated myself to the company by increasing its size and starting a slow and deep restructuring.
The company, still family owned, covers an area of 25 hectares of vineyards and approximately 1.5 hectares of olive groves. I cultivate typical Abruzzo’s vines such as Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino, and international vine such as Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapepicking is exclusively handmade.
Since 1991 I adopted the methods of organic farming and, in 2006, with my wife Maria Antonietta, I realised a dream pursued for a long time: transform naturally all the products of our land, to offer to our customers a product of natural excellence.

The Winery
The Winery Tenuta Arabona is equipped with the latest technologies for winemaking, joining the ancient traditions, to maintain authentic “natural” flavors.
Finished to built in 2006, our company is simple with essential features: the most modern technologies are used in accordance with traditions, hygiene and healthiness. The machines, the equipment, the containers are all made of stainless steel. We use a powerful refrigeration system to overcome chemicals treatments, both to control all processes of fermentation and refinement of wines.
We control the entire process of transformation of the wines, with the help of expert consultants. The refinement of the wines takes place almost entirely in stainless steel and in bottles. Short periods in wood barrels for structured red wines.
We want to offer to our customers a product that is unique, original and full of tasteful aromas of our territory.
All wines are certified from “organic farming”.

The Territory
Part of the company was formerly owned by Barons of Zambra, a noble family from the city of Chieti. It extends on the pleasant and sunny hills of Santa Maria Arabona, on the plot of land that follows the Pescara River towards the majestic mountain massif of the Majella National Park.
A charming landscape with hills shaped by the passing of time and the human labor, with old farmhouses made of stone, with olive trees at the feet of the big massif of Majella.
The soils with a good fertility, fresh and well-drained, totally exposed to the southeast; the excellent temperature excursion from day to night, thanks to the air currents moving from the Adriatic Sea along the Pescara valley and back to the Majella mountain, give to our vineyards all the components to produce grapes and wines of unquestionable excellence.
