TERRACRUDA
Once the clay hills of the Pescara’s upland, at the foot of the Majella massive, the farmers built their homes in “Terra Cruda” (clay and straw); for the naturalness of the materials used and the simplicity of architecture, these buildings were integrated perfectly in the territory.
The farm stands on the hill planted with vines. In these lands the screws still generously return natural fruits of high quality. Terra Cruda is produced using only grapes from our vineyards, the vines of the same name in purity, grown by more than 20 years with organic farming methods, at the foot of the Majella massif, on the border of the great natural park.
The high quality of the grapes used, the particular processing technique, which combines ancient methods and modern technology, the wooden barrels used for aging of red wines give, to “Terra Cruda” scents, aromatic and unique minerals flavours.
MANUS PLERE
Manus Plere, translated from vulgar Latin as “full hand” or “handful,” refers to a small sheaf of wheat that, when reaped, could fit in one hand, called “manoppio,” which later inspired the name Manoppello. Manus Plere is made exclusively from the grapes of our vineyards, in purity, cultivated using organic farming methods at the foot of the Majella massif and its natural park. The high quality of the grapes used, the processing technique, which includes the use of cold, and the equipment and containers, all made of 18/10 stainless steel, give these wines their unmistakable aromas, deeply tied to their territorial origins.
MIA NATURA
From the plateau of the Pescara river, going up towards the majestic Majella massif and the National Mountain Park of the same name, an enchanting scenario opens up: hills shaped by time and the work of man, centuries-old olive trees, ancient stone or raw earth buildings, the mountain just a stone's throw away. The ancient farmhouses, all preserved in the cellar, are places of meeting and aggregation, where together with a glass of wine emotions are shared and friendships are consolidated: at home, as an element of involvement, the bottle of wine is never missing. A story that is handed down from generation to generation... From this same harmony between man, territory and environment, the Mia Natura line was born, as an authentic expression of Tenuta Arabona. All spontaneously fermented wines, bottled without fining, only with light filtration, the emotion and essence of the vineyards.
SPARKLING WINES
From the intuition and the enthusiasm of Domenico, thanks to a territory and its exceptional vines too, born the “bubbles” of Tenuta Arabona: the first fully developed Sparkling Wine Bio in Abruzzo with “Martinotti Method”. Obtained in small autoclaves from 600 lt, developed for Tenuta Arabona from a known Treviso company and specially modified by a local craftsman to make Sparkling process with Martinotti Method starting from partially fermented must, with no added sugar and without the use of selected yeasts.
don pasquale
To my father... the beginning of a future. Dedicated to my father whose profile was stylized on the labels of the bottles by the master Stefano Schiazza, a Chieti-known painter. It is produced with an exclusive selection of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, only in the best vintages.
STORÌA
The name “Storìa” means that the product is originated from the history. Indeed in the past usually in the farmhouses the father or the grandfather in the occasion of the birth of a child, especially of the eldest son, produced with the first grape picking a particular wine, called “vino cotto”. Then this wine was kept for years in small wooden barrels. It was opened to offer to guests at the First Communion and later for Wedding. It accompanies deliciously Abruzzo‘s typical cookies, cakes with almonds or with dried pasta
